A Split Case Pale Morning Dun is an excellent imitation of a ready-to-emerge Pale Morning Dun nymph. The Split Case PMD has a sparse, segmented body leading up to its hotspot wing case. This jig fly gets down fast and bounces off the bottom easily. Great lead fly in a multiple nymph rig. If it's July on Montana's Missouri River, you're probably fishing this fly.
