Booking

Lodging & Boat Rentals: 

Reservations require 50% deposits down. If you must cancel your lodging or boat rental reservation for any reason we will refund your deposit less a 10% service fee based upon the rental price, provided we can refill your reservation with a third party. If you must cancel all or part of your reservation, please contact us immediately. When given ample time, The Trout Shop will have a good chance at refilling your reservation and refunding your appropriate deposit. 

Booking Accommodations through The Trout Shop: 

Each of the lodging options that you may book through The Trout Shop (whether online, via telephone or in person) have their own rules which you must consent to. In addition, by booking through The Trout Shop you agree to the following: 

Checking In and Out occurs at The Trout Shop, 275 Bridge Street, Craig, MT, 59648. Generally speaking, Check In is at 3:00 PM MT, and Check Out is at 10:00 AM MT.  Keys are issued at time of Check In and are to be returned at Check Out. The person booking the lodging must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid photo ID at time of Check In. Please remember that the balance of the booking is due at Check In. 

There is no smoking inside any of the lodging structures. Bonafide service animals are generally permitted, but please review the booking information for the specific Lodging to confirm.  

As the person who booked the lodging accommodation through The Trout Shop, you, and on behalf of any of your invitees, guests, or any other person you allow onto or into the lodging property, become the responsible person to: 

• Maintain the lodging property in good and neat condition during your stay. 
• Not engage in or allow any practice or actions which injure or damage the lodging property, or create a nuisance, menace, or a general annoyance to those around you. 
• Pay for the cost to repair any damage to the lodging property caused by you, your invitees or guests, or other person you allow onto or into the lodging property. 

Limitation of Liability and Indemnification: Under no circumstance, and under no legal theory, shall The Trout Shop be responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur to you, any of your invitees or guests, or any other person you allow onto or into the lodging property. The Trout Shop is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings or valuables belonging to any person allowed by you onto or into the lodge property, including but not limited to loss by burglary, fire, water, rodents, insects, negligence of The Trout Shop (including any employee or agent of the same).

You acknowledge that the booking of the lodging property and the use made of the same by you, your invitees, guests, or any other person you allow onto or into the lodging property, is entirely at your and their own risk. As the person who booked the lodging accommodation through The Trout Shop, you, and on behalf of any of your invitees, guests, or any other person you allow onto or into the lodging property, will indemnify and hold harmless The Trout Shop, and The Trout Shop’s employees and/or agents, from any expense, cost, damages, suits, actions, claims or liabilities whatsoever, made by any person, arising from or related to any loss of or damage to any property, or any injury or death,  resulting from and/or occurring on account of the use or occupancy of the lodging property by you or any of your invitees, guests or other person you allow onto or into the lodging property, including claims or liabilities alleged to be due to the negligence of The Trout Shop or the employees or agents of The Trout Shop. 

Guide Trips:

Guided trips require 50% deposits that are collected and applied on a per trip basis. If you must cancel your guided trip(s) for any reason outside 60 days of your reservation date(s), a $75.00 handling fee will be charged per cancelled trip. Your remaining deposit will be refunded immediately. Cancelled trips inside 60 days of your reservation date will result in you forfeiting your deposit.

​Returns

If you’re not 100% satisfied with your purchase, package and return it to us within 30 days for a full refund, credit or merchandise exchange.  

Request a return label for your order by by email at info@thetroutshop.com. Please refer to your order number when you make your request. We will email you back a return label for the package we sent you. 

Once we receive your return, we will refund your purchase price less the cost of the return shipping.

Please Note:

• All returned items must be in the new condition complete with boxes and hang tags. If items have been worn or used, we cannot refund or exchange your purchase.

Wader and Boot Returns

When your waders or boots arrive, try them on inside in a clean environment. Make sure they fit and are comfortable before wearing them outside. If for any reason the fit is not right, ship them back to us. We will work with you to find waders and/or boots that fit you correctly. We cannot refund or exchange waders that have been soiled.

Rod and Reel Returns

You may return your rod or reel provided they have not been used in the field. If you purchase a new rod and find that it doesn’t cast the way you expect, no problem. Send it back in new condition and we’ll find you a suitable replacement. Rods that have dirty corks or have had the warranty card submitted to the manufacturer cannot be exchanged or refunded. If you have us spool your reel with line and/or backing and you want to return the reel, you will be charged for the retail price of the fly line, backing and a service charge of $25 for the rigging.
